(DEPARTURES FROM DFW via DART Rail Orange Line)
If you have checked bags do this…
The DART Rail Orange Line to Mockingbird Station is located at Terminal A, Entrance A10, Lower Level.
If you are already in Terminal A you would collect your bags and then walk down to A10 and take the elevator to connect to the DFW Airport Station and the DART Rail Orange Line.
If you are at Terminal B, you can collect your bags and walk down to Entry B30 and go downstairs to the TEXRail Terminal B Station. Do not get on the TEXRail Train!!! You’ll go to Fort Worth instead of Mockingbird Station!!! Instead, cross over the tracks and follow the signs to Terminal A. You’ll be outside but on a covered walkway and you’ll find yourself at the DART Orange Line Station. You can’t walk to Terminal A from Terminal C, D, or E. If you’d rather not walk from Terminal B to Terminal A then follow the instructions below.
If you are at Terminal B, C, D, or E you’ll need to transfer your party and your luggage by using Orange Shuttle Vans called Terminal Link. It isn’t hard, but you might stop at several terminals before you get to yours. Here’s a photo so you know what to look for.
Visit https://www.dfwairport.com/shuttles/ to access the shuttle tracker tool or scan the QR code found at each shuttle stop.
Once you get to Terminal A you’ll disembark the shuttle at the A10 Entry Point. Be sure to collect your bags (and your people too). Take the elevator down to connect to the DFW Airport Station and the DART Rail Orange Line.
The main difference between Terminal Link and SKYLINK is that SKYLINK can only be accessed within secured areas. Once you leave the secured area you can’t use SKYLINK.
If you don’t have checked bags do this…
Don’t leave the secured area!
SKYLINK only operates in the secured area and is the better of the two Terminal Transfer methods. It operates on an automated monorail shuttle and connects to the other terminals faster. Just follow the SKYLINK signs and take the shuttle that will take to closest to Terminal A, Entry A10.
ATTENTION! ADDITIONAL TIP BELOW!
If you’re traveling in a group and don’t have a lot of baggage
Sometimes, some of your party can use the superior SKYLINK to get to Terminal A while another in the party leaves the secured area, collects the luggage and uses Terminal Link to reach Terminal A. This is a helpful hack if kids or elderly people are traveling. Go downstairs and outside and find the signs for Terminal A. Follow those signs along the covered walkway and you’ll walk right into the DFW Airport Station. If there is a DART train there it will be an Orange Line train. This train will take you directly to Mockingbird Station (with 17 stops) and take a little more than an hour.
